So Long Bellingham: Hello Ketchikan

Bye to Uncle Bobby
Bye Auntie Jo

All aboard

Ketchikan: Home of Discovery's "Alaskan Bush People"

While on the Ferry Brandon built this for Cecilia.  He then asked her "Do you know what that says"?  She replied "ZOO".  OMG!  She's only 3!  Thank you Endless Reader app!

A beautiful trip to Juneau

Second Installment Of Our Trip Through The PNW

As you might have seen before in the earlier installment of our trip to Alaska, there were a lot of goodbyes.  One that was particularly hard for me was saying goodbye to the flowers my Grandma gave me before she passed.  They are now planted in my In-Laws garden.  I used to pick these very flowers out of her garden as a kid, and for the past 2 years my daughter has been able to do the same.

Next stop…. Tacoma

The street I grew up on

My old home.  The window on the tippy top was my room; it over looked the sound.

We then stopped by my step sisters house.  Even though our parents are no longer together she will always be family.  There is nothing like watching our little ones play together.

Sweet cousins

Cecilia and Claire….. Here comes trouble
Cecilia Loved her Auntie Jenn's Pigs
After we said goodbye to them we drove by my High School.

Stadium High School AKA Padua High for those "10 Things I Hate About You" fans

Then off to Opera Alley to have dinner with some friends at my favorite place to eat.

Opera Alley
Over the Moon Cafe has some of the best food in town!!!

Their steak is AMAZING

We then continued to Bellingham, where we spent a few days before boarding the Ferry.

She Thinks They're Just Fishing

Our first fish!  It was a rockfish so we threw it back, but it was fun!

Welcome to Juneau

We arrived to Juneau after a 3 day ferry ride.  While our first day was long, we decided to scout out the Mendenhall Glacier.  These photos were taken at 8PM!

Bits of the glacier that have broken off

This place is just Amazing and I can't believe we get to call this our home.

Alaska has the BEST muddy puddles

Farewell to friends: Cecilia's goodbye

We recently said goodbye to Vancouver and the many friends we have there.  This post is dedicated to SOME (not nearly all) of Cecilia's "favorites and best".

Cecilia's Sophie.  Such a loving, kind hearted young lady.

Cecilia's Lanie.  They love playing with baby chicks together, and playing dress up.  Don't let their sweet exterior fool you; these two are country girls at heart and can do anything boys can do….. except BETTER!

Cecilia's Konner (her betrothed).  The first time these two had a playdate they turned on the hose and made a giant muddy puddle. They were soaked with water and covered in mud, while chasing sheep.
We hope to always keep these friends close in spite of distance.  We love you all, and hope it won't be too long till we see you next.

27:52 Portrait A Week

4th of July weekend.
This portrait installment comes a bit late.  I didn't realize we would be traveling when I usually upload.  I took this photo of Cecilia while walking around in Historic Fairhaven during our visit to Bellingham.  We got the opportunity to spend some time with friends and do some bopping around.
Next Portrait….. Juneau!  Check back Sunday!
