Huckleberry Season

Every time we drive in to town or on our way back home, you can see cars parked along the side of the road; drivers out, bucket in hand, collecting berries that are just waiting to be picked.  We are fortunate enough to have those same berries growing on our property.  We had a great time enjoying the outdoors and collecting some of nature's sweet treats.

Project: House to Home (Cecilia's Room)

As you can imagine moving can be very difficult.  Well try and endure that while being 3.  My little has been a very brave girl, so the moment our things arrived we got started on getting her room in order.

The couch sits right under that sunny sill with the butterflies.  It's a great place to read books.

This tree stands alone on a wall between her door and closet.  I saved a few more branches as her collection grows.

When Cecilia is happy, we're happy.  It is so nice to know she loves her new home and her room.  We hope you liked the mini tour.

A beautiful trip to Juneau

Second Installment Of Our Trip Through The PNW

As you might have seen before in the earlier installment of our trip to Alaska, there were a lot of goodbyes.  One that was particularly hard for me was saying goodbye to the flowers my Grandma gave me before she passed.  They are now planted in my In-Laws garden.  I used to pick these very flowers out of her garden as a kid, and for the past 2 years my daughter has been able to do the same.

Next stop…. Tacoma

We then stopped by my step sisters house.  Even though our parents are no longer together she will always be family.  There is nothing like watching our little ones play together.

After we said goodbye to them we drove by my High School.

Then off to Opera Alley to have dinner with some friends at my favorite place to eat.
